The evolution of the concept of landscape, witnessed over recent decades, coincides with an inexorable human impact on nature at global level (and the consequent abuse of environmental resources) configuring an ever increasing interest of artistic subjects for land areas, real and true avant-gardes able to anticipate (sometimes even by years) the design technologies and solutions then elevated by architects to types of intervention on the landscape.
The aim of the master Extraordinary Landscapes – landscape art architecture, is to teach the student a far-reaching methodological approach able to bring together all the elements in play and bring him/her closer to the subject of nature with an eyes-open look that stems from knowledge, comparison and experience, without any historicist or ideological prejudice, before implementing all possible planning actions relating to the land area.
The second edition of the program (2007/08), open to architects and artists, is promoted by Politecnico di Milano in co-operation with NABA.
