Master programs and two-years Master of Arts programs (MA)

In order to meet the requirements of specialized education NABA has developed two types of academic curriculum for post diploma or first level degree: first level Master programs and  specialized two-year programs.
NABA also offers advanced programs for researchers and artists who wish to receive a research doctoral degree with research in Arts and Technologies from the University of Plymouth.

Master programs

The Master programs are annual courses for students who wish to acquire a specialized education within a period of intensive studies aimed at gaining experience and relations in the artistic and professional world. It is possible to acquire 60 credits valid for continuing studies in Italy or abroad. The program is also aimed at professionals who wish to give a new stream to their professional career gaining new technical and project skills.

Two-year Master of Arts programs (MA)

The Two-year  Master of Arts programs (MA) are intended for students who wish to complete their five-year academic curriculum
– diploma program (3+2). The program foresees deep academic content, so theoretical disciplines are followed by intensive project work. It is possible to acquire 120 credits and to receive a diploma equivalent to an MA degree.
The degrees awarded by NABA are equivalent to university degrees and are therefore valid for further studies in the university system in Italy and abroad.

General Information - Master programs

  • Duration: from January to December 2007
  • Calendar of the course: the calendar will be published by 30th May, 2006.
  • Total number of hours per course: 1500 hours, out of which 700 hours of classes and 800 hours of individual studies, group studies and internship.
  • Credits: 60
  • The Internship can be followed part-time during the study period or at the end of academic curriculum. The Internship condirtions differ depending on the program and on the nature of single curricula.
  • Language used for the course: Italian
  • Assessment and thesis. No final thesis is required. Students will develop their own professional portfolio as a part of the academic curriculum. At the end of each module of the course or project there is individual assessment of the completed module. At the end of the course there is a final exam and a meeting open to public including presentation of the realized projects and awarding diplomas.
  • According to European regulations students registered for the Master program cannot participate in Erasmus exchange. Although the relations with foreign universities and institutions allow for international experience through the development of mutual international projects.
