MA Textile and New Materials Design

Starting from January 2008

Textile and new Materials MA brings students to explore, discover and experiment the world of surfaces, textiles and new materials involved into creative, project and production process of fashion and desing.
MA scientific objectives are aimed at the tknowledge of elements and experimentation of instruments available for textile and material designers: from transformation techniques, manipulation instruments and project methodologies to materioteques collecting most advanced materials, to textile avant-garde experimentation labs.
The MA programs is addressed to:

• Fine Arts Academies graduates;
• Architecture, Design, Fashion, Materials Technologies, psychology, Marketing and Communication Uniersity graduates;

All those educational programs interlacing themes of ultramaterial innovation, intended as culture of materials, textiles, surfaces with a high level of reality and materiality with those of most advanced technologies.
Professional profiles who will come out of this educationa path will have employment opportunities in industrial and creative areas having materials production and transformation as innovation fulcrum (design companies, fashion houses), research and excellence centers (trend agencies, materiotheques, style centers, experimental labs), architecture studios, interior and exhibition design, advanced design, etc.
